uPVC sliding doors
Large glazed panels that slide sideways, so the door never swings into the room or onto the balcony. Made to the size of your opening in Gurugram and installed by Winsplast.

Where sliding doors suit
- Balconies and terraces, where a swinging door would take up space
- Garden and courtyard openings where you want a wide view
- Living rooms with furniture close to the opening
Things to consider
- Two panels open to about half the width; more panels or tracks change how much can be open at once.
- Tracks collect dust and should be kept clean so the panels run smoothly.
- Where people walk through often, ask about the threshold height.
- Mesh can be added on its own track or as pleated mesh.
Questions
uPVC or aluminium for a large sliding door?
Both are used. Aluminium is often chosen for very wide openings with slim frames; uPVC for well-sealed doors in homes. See aluminium windows and doors and our guide uPVC or aluminium?
Sliding door or French doors?
A sliding door saves space because nothing swings. French doors open the full width but need room for the leaves to swing.
