uPVC casement and French doors
Hinged doors that open fully. A single casement door suits a balcony or utility access; French doors are a pair of leaves that open the full width of a wider opening.

Single casement door
One leaf on side hinges. Practical for balcony, kitchen and utility openings where the doorway is not wide.
French doors
Two hinged leaves that meet in the middle without a fixed post, so the whole width opens. Often chosen for living rooms opening onto a terrace or garden.
Slide-and-fold doors
Several leaves fold against each other and slide to one or both sides, clearing most of a wide opening. An alternative to French doors where the opening is too wide for two leaves.
Things to consider
- A hinged door needs clear space on the side it opens towards.
- Decide whether it should open inward or outward before measuring.
- Fixed glass panels can be added beside or above the door in the same frame.
Questions
Can a uPVC door be my main entrance door?
Ask us about your entrance when you request a quote; we will tell you what we can make for that opening.
Not enough room for the door to swing?
Consider a sliding door, which opens without taking up floor space.
